The budget end of the Hurghada island run — a beach stop and two reef anchorages where the anemones and their clownfish are the reliable sighting.

Nemo is named for what everybody wants to see, and it delivers: the shallow shelf carries bubble-tip anemones in numbers, each with its pair of two-band clownfish holding territory over it. Children who have been promised a fish recognise this one, which is most of why the trip sells.
Beyond the anemones it is a straightforward fringing reef — hard coral in three to eight metres, butterflyfish and wrasse working it, a beach stop in the middle of the day. The boats here are the larger shared ones, which is what keeps the price where it is.
