  1. Collected at 03:00 for the five-hour desert road to Cairo, with one comfort stop near Zafarana. Three hours in the Grand Egyptian Museum, lunch, then the whole Giza plateau: Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, the panorama point, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. In the evening, Khan el-Khalili and dinner — the bazaar is worth seeing after dark, which is exactly what a day trip cannot give you.

Know before you go

  • This is a shared departure: the programme runs in a fixed order and the group moves together. You cannot reorder, add or skip a stop — that is what keeps the price at this level. Our private Cairo tours change freely.
  • Three main sights in a day, no more. A fourth turns the day into a march between car parks. Day one is the museum, the Giza plateau and Khan el-Khalili; day two is Saqqara with the Serapeum, Dahshur, and Old Cairo.
  • Prices are based on two sharing a twin room. A guest travelling alone pays a €35 single-room supplement for the night.
  • Dahshur is the reason this trip is two days. It cannot be added to a one-day road trip without cutting the Grand Egyptian Museum to about 90 minutes.
  • Pickup is 03:00 on day one. Day two starts at 08:00 after breakfast.
