Know before you go

  • This is a shared departure: the programme runs in a fixed order and the group moves together. You cannot reorder, add or skip a stop — that is what keeps the price at this level. Our private Cairo tours change freely.
  • Three main sights in a day, no more. A fourth turns the day into a march between car parks. Here they are the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Giza plateau, and lunch.
  • The Grand Egyptian Museum gets three hours. It holds around 120,000 artefacts and the complete Tutankhamun collection, so the day is built around it rather than fitting it in.
  • Dahshur is not on this trip. Adding it to a road day means cutting the museum to about 90 minutes — it belongs on the two-day version.
  • Five hours on the road each way, with one comfort stop near Zafarana. Pickup is 03:00, and 20–40 minutes earlier from Safaga and Soma Bay.
