Camel and Horse Riding in the Dubai Desert

Popular tours in this category

Riding through the desert at walking pace shows you the dunes in a way a 4x4 cannot. Our camel trips near Dubai follow a caravan across a desert reserve: in the morning cool with a Bedouin-style breakfast at an oasis, or at sunset with a 45-minute ride and a five-course Bedouin dinner. A third trip lets you choose a 40-minute camel or horse ride at sunset, or 20 minutes on each, before an evening of live performances and a barbecue buffet at a desert camp.

Arabian horses for riders

If you prefer the saddle, ride an Arabian horse for 30 or 45 minutes at a stable in the desert south of Dubai. You get a helmet, a safety briefing and a horse matched to your level, with refreshments afterwards. You can meet the team at the stables or book the option with hotel pickup. The camel caravans move at walking pace, which suits families. From May to September, ride early or late in the day; wear long trousers and closed shoes, and bring sunglasses.
