Tours and day trips on Bohol

Our most recommended things to do in Bohol

Bohol is an island in the central Philippines, known for the Chocolate Hills, more than a thousand rounded hills that turn brown in the dry season, and for the tarsier, one of the smallest primates in the world. A day in the interior usually combines the Chocolate Hills viewpoint in Carmen, a tarsier sanctuary, the tall mahogany trees of the Bilar Man-Made Forest and the Loboc River, where boats serve lunch on the water. Closer to Tagbilaran stand Baclayon Church and the Blood Compact Monument.

Most visitors stay on Panglao, the smaller island joined to Bohol by bridges, with Alona Beach on its south coast. From here boats leave at sunrise to look for dolphins and to snorkel with sea turtles at Balicasag. Inland, waterfall days lead along jungle trails and past rice terraces. If you are staying on Cebu instead, a long day trip by fast ferry to Tagbilaran takes in the main sights and brings you back the same evening.

Our own local guides lead every tour in English, and most tours include pickup from hotels in Panglao. Some sites charge entry or environmental fees in pesos, paid in cash on the day; each tour says which. Prices are estimates and are confirmed with your booking.
