This is the pared-back Makadi buggy tour for people who just want to drive. No Bedouin village, no camel — two hours of your own dune buggy across the Makadi desert and along the coast. After a briefing and practice laps at the safari station, you head out: 25 km of dunes and changing terrain out, then a run down to the beach where the desert meets the Red Sea, and back. It's private, so the buggy is yours — a double for two or a family buggy for four — with air-conditioned transfers, water and tea, and a helmet included.
